Department of Radio and Communications

The Department of Radio and Communications Engineering focuses on the education and research in antennas, microwave technologies, signal processing in communications, wireless communication networks, mobile and satellite communications, and computer networks. The department has seven research laboratories that perform state-of-the-art research: Smart Wireless Communications Laboratory, Applied Electromagnetics Laboratory, Communication Signal Processing Laboratory, Broadband Network Laboratory, Mobile and Satellite Communications Laboratory, Mobile Networking and Computing Laboratory, and Intelligent Wireless Communication Systems Laboratory.

The department places a strong emphasis on innovative research and development funded by the government and industry. Under the close guidance of supervising professors, graduate students acquire independent research skills through courses, thesis and dissertation, and by participating in journal publications, patent writings, research proposals, and research reports. The department also offers financial support for qualified graduate students and postdoctoral researchers. After graduation, students go on to find jobs in tech companies, research institutes, and governmental organizations.
